Past visitors to the site have undoubtedly noticed our recent site update – one that introduces several new benefits along with its clean new look. We’re proud to present this evolution of our web site and confident that your experience will be nothing but positive.
Getting Around
Past visitors may have noticed a few changes to our site’s navigation. Most of the nav links found in the main menu at the top of the page have remained unchanged, and what has been altered should make it even easier to get around. Request Info has been removed from the menu; Quotes/Samples is now found on its own, while literature requests can be made, as always, from the Print link under Catalogs.
The new Info item in the main menu makes it easy to navigate not just to News, but also to About Us, Exhibitions, and Career Opportunities.
In the nav links located in the upper righthand corner, registering for our My List communication feature is only a click away with Register Free. Those who already have an account can now log in at any time, which will make changing your account information with My Account available in this area of the page.
If you wish to view our Site Map, you will now find it at the very bottom of the page, along with Legal Information, our Privacy Policy, and Bug Report.
What’s New
My List
A staple feature of the Positronic web site for some time, My List allows you to collect information requests as you browse the site and submit these requests all at once. Those who have registered for a free My List account will find a few helpful new features. Login may now be done at any time using the link in the upper righthand corner of the page. And because the site remembers you when you return without the need to log in again, submitting a My List request is faster than ever before! You will always remained logged into your account until you choose to Log Out in the upper righthand corner, or unless you decline this feature.
When you view the selections you’ve made on the My List summary page (reached automatically after making a selection, or through My List in the upper righthand corner), two new options are available in addition to Submit. Change quote/sample quantities or comments on all your selections at once and choose Update to continue browsing the site. Or if you decide you are not yet ready to submit your requests to us, choose Save to return to My List at a later date without starting from scratch! The selections saved in your account will remain intact on future visits until you submit them or alter them by saving again.
Registered My List users may also review requests they have submitted in the past by visiting My Account (in the upper righthand corner) and choosing View past My List requests.
Part Number Search
The Part Number Search found in the upper righthand corner of every page has been enhanced to provide you with the best information available. The results of this search will include not only the product sections and catalogs relative to your part number, but also any available technical drawings and 3D models. Please note that, as always, this search is intended for Positronic part numbers, not keywords.
Product Sections
The extensive product sections reached through Products in the main menu still offer the same valuable information and features, in much the same format, but with a great new facelift! A few enhancements have been made to our popular Create a Part Number feature, including an intuitive new system that takes the guesswork out of building a valid part number. As you progress through each step of part number creation, only options valid with your choices so far will be presented. Once you’ve completed the process, you will also find a convenient opportunity to search for drawings and 3D models for the part number you’ve specified.
In product sections for which drawings and 3D models are available, the Drawings/3D Models link in the section’s navigation menu will present all file types in one convenient place. Simply choose a connector variant, and links to all available drawing/model types will appear under each part number and description.
On each section’s Crimp/Solder Contacts page, all available contacts are now broken down by types, which are represented by a tabbed interface. Simply click on a tab to view contacts of a particular type.
