SP Max is the ultimate power and signal connector for rugged environments, with a number of critical features that set it apart from the competition.

Performance in Challenging Conditions

One of the key features of SP Max is its ability to operate in a wide temperature range. Thanks to its liquid crystal polymer (LCP) insulators, SP Max can function properly in extreme environments ranging from -55°C to 175°C. Not only can SP Max perform in both extreme cold and extreme heat, but the wide temperature range also makes SP Max suitable for use in environments where temperatures fluctuate significantly, such as in aircraft or outdoor applications. In addition, our precision-machined shells provide EMI/RFI protection and are optimized for ruggedness, planarity, and precision.

High Power Performance

SP Max is rated up to 35A per contact at 30°C temperature rise, making it capable of handling high power loads. This allows SP Max to provide peak performance in even the highest power need applications, from military systems to satellite systems, commercial air applications, and industrial equipment.

Performance in Small Spaces

Another standout feature of SP Max is its integral blind mating capability, allowing for up to 2mm of offset. This makes it easier to connect in tight spaces or in situations where visibility is limited.


With its slim precision-machined shell available in three sizes, a range of contacts including size 12, 16, 18, and 22, and twenty-one different layout configurations available, SP Max is compatible with a variety of systems and equipment. SP Max offers machined contacts in crimp, solder, or press-fit termination options, giving you the flexibility to choose the best option for your specific application. And with hardware options including angle brackets, board locks, jackscrews, and a quick-locking system, you have a range of options for securing your connections. Plus, SP Max offers sequential mating and selective loading, making it an ideal solution for difficult applications.
